Fernando is an experienced professional in the extractive industry with a career that has taken him to the Americas, Europe and the Middle East. Over the last 29 years, he has held Senior Government and Management positions and has served twice as Vice Minister of Mines, Board Member and Director in Joint Operating Companies (JOC). He is skilled in Operations and Asset Management, Risk Management, Business Continuity and Emergency Management, Corporate Governance, Strategic Communications, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Sustainability. Additionally, Fernando has a complete understanding of current business needs related to operations, services, administration and sustainable development, as wells as, the top policy making perspective.

Fernando maintains a strong, international network. He has a proven track record for delivering tangible results under challenging conditions and is respected for his integrity and work ethic.
